Christopher R. Rothrock, M.D.

Dr. Rothrock, a board certified orthopedic surgeon, is the president and owner of St. Louis Sports Health, LLC, which he founded in 2009.

Dr. Rothrock provides care to local college, high school and recreational athletes of all ages, as well as patients with work-related injuries and those desiring to return to a healthy, active lifestyle. He is fellowship trained in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle. Dr. Rothrock is committed to providing all of his patients with the highest quality of care and service so they may return to their sport, work and recreational activities in a safe, effective and efficient manner.

Born and raised in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Dr. Rothrock is a graduate of Penn State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science, Master of Science in Exercise Physiology, and Doctor of Medicine degrees. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. Upon finishing, he was chosen to participate in a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and he was a team physician for the Cleveland Browns, Cavaliers, Indians, Rockers and Barons, as well as John Carroll University. Dr. Rothrock has been practicing in St. Louis since 2003.

Nationally recognized for his research on anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction in the young athlete, Dr. Rothrock has done extensive research on the long-term outcomes of ACL reconstruction, as well as human physiology and its response to exercise.
